Fun ski drills: Javelin
Javelin Here's a great drill for developing balance and coordination. It's the Javelin Drill. In Javelin Drill you lift up your inside ski, and then turn the outside ski underneath that lifted ski. It's really important to develop the coordination to let your legs turn underneath a calm and stable upper body, and if you keep your tip lower than your tail, then you'll also be getting into a good flexed position. That coordination of letting the upper body be calm and stable while the legs turn underneath is important for all turn--especially for short radius.
